Trail Clearing

There are numerous agencies, organizations and individuals that help keep our trails clear for our enjoyment.  Every year, these groups clear 1,000’s of trees from our trails! Here are a few of the organizations we can thank for this hard and never ending task:

Central Idaho Trail Riders Alliance

CITRA is our local off-road motorcycle club and is dedicated to the preservation and maintenance of our local trail system.

Payette National Forest Service of McCall

USFS – Payette National Forest Trail Status Interactive Map

The Payette National Forest Service has launched a web-based trail maintenance map that provides users real-time information on all trails on the Forest.  Annually, several hundred miles of trails are worked by Forest Service, partner and volunteer trail crews. The map will track the trails they have accomplished, and let you know the status of each trail.

As trail crews conduct maintenance throughout the main use-season, the Forest will provide updates to this map. You will know when your favorite trail has been maintained as it will change color from Yellow (Scheduled for Maintenance) to Green (Maintained).

Department of Parks and Recreation

Idaho UTV/ATV/Motorbike Program

The Idaho Motorized Trails Program is managed by the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation and uses funding collected through the sale of ATV/UTV and motorbike registrations and state fuels tax annually to meet the needs of Idaho’s Motorized Trails community.

And there are many more groups and individuals out there who contribute their own time, sweat, gas for the saws, etc. – we thank them all!  Please let us know about your efforts or of any newly fallen trees or obstacles here:  >> Contact Page
