Bull trout lawsuit targets Payette National Forest roads

On Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, the environmental group, WildEarth Guardians of Idaho, filed a lawsuit contending the U.S. Forest Service and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service are violating the Endangered Species Act by failing to analyze how roads and motorized trails could be harming threatened bull trout in the Payette National Forest.

The environmental group believe that all-terrain and off-road vehicles are damaging bull trout streams and hope for further restrictions on motorized vehicle use in the Payette National Forest.
