Event Page:

“A great event to participate in, if you have time and resources please consider helping. We are seeking disabled Veterans who are interested in participating in the 2023 Disabled Veterans Snowmobile Ride and volunteers who own snowmobiles to help take a veteran out for the day.

Veterans must be at least 30% service-connected disabled, as rated by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Disability does not need to be combat related in order to participate. Veterans will be chosen on first-come, first-serve basis while space is available. Transportation to McCall from Boise will be provided for those who need it. Ride also includes lunch, snowmobile and riding coach at no cost to the veteran. Veterans must have own cold weather clothing.

Volunteers will be riding coaches to a disabled veteran(s); and bring at least two snowmobiles to the ride; one for the volunteer/coach and one for a veteran(s). Volunteers would be paired with a disabled veteran throughout the day and be able to offer them riding assistance, coaching, moral support, etc. so that they have an enjoyable day on the mountain. The volunteers’ snowmobiles should be fairly new, in good operating condition and full of gas/oil and ready to go. The more volunteers that sign up, the more disabled veterans we can take snowmobiling! If you as a volunteer are representing a business or organization please let me know so we can include your logo on the ride poster and t-shirts.

The ride date is March 11th, and we will be riding from Frances Wallace trailhead in McCall, Idaho. Lunch will be provided free of charge to all participants. Please call to sign up and for any questions you have. This is a great event each year and we have a lot of fun. Please consider participating if you are willing or interested.
